ALPHARETTA, Ga.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Stryten Energy LLC (“Stryten” or “Stryten Energy”) today announced the successful completion of its acquisition of C&D Technologies, Inc. and Trojan Battery Company, LLC (“C&D Trojan”), creating one of North America’s most comprehensive battery manufacturing and energy storage companies, with expanded capabilities across transportation, essential power, industrial, military and government markets.
The combined company operates 18 battery manufacturing and component facilities across the U.S., Mexico and China and employs approximately 4,800 people worldwide, significantly expanding Stryten’s manufacturing scale, global reach and customer support capabilities. The company will continue to operate under the Stryten Energy name while preserving the C&D Technologies and Trojan Battery product brands.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Expanding U.S. Manufacturing
Stryten expects to make strategic investments in U.S. battery manufacturing capacity, facility modernization, equipment upgrades and workforce development. These investments are intended to strengthen domestic production capabilities across advanced lead and lithium battery technologies while supporting long-term American manufacturing competitiveness.
In addition, the company plans to expand its Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) battery manufacturing capacity to meet growing demand from automotive aftermarket customers for start-stop and hybrid vehicle applications requiring high-performance batteries.

Strengthening Military Production Capacity
The combination of the companies’ military battery portfolios creates one of the most comprehensive domestic battery platforms supporting U.S. defense, government and national security applications. Planned investments will support the scaling of U.S.-based manufacturing capacity to meet increasing demand for batteries used in land warfare systems, air defense systems, Naval surface/undersea systems, logistics, reserve power systems, nuclear power and other essential infrastructure. The combined platform strengthens the domestic industrial base while supporting secure access to mission-critical battery technologies.
