Nio advances in-house cylindrical cells with limited year-end output via Eve Energy, Gotion

Nio is pressing ahead with its in-house large cylindrical battery cells, with a very small batch expected to roll off production lines by year-end through contract manufacturing by Eve Energy and Gotion. The company is retaining core battery R&D while expanding CATL prismatic battery purchases across its Onvo and Firefly brands, though mass production remains challenging near term.
