Chery's Huawei-backed Luxeed to gain independent carmaking license, plans standalone IPO

Luxeed, the EV brand created by Chery and Huawei, is set to obtain its own production license through a transfer of Chery's Wuhu plant capacity, with vehicle badges expected to change from Chery to Luxeed. An insider confirmed the brand also plans to go public independently as it operates as a separate business unit with its own R&D, production, and sales.
