Maine Picks Clearway for 800 MW Wind Farm, Boosting Onshore Capacity 66%

Maine regulators selected Clearway Energy to build an 800 MW wind farm in Aroostook County, the state's largest, which would increase onshore wind capacity by about 66%. Avangrid will construct a 1,200 MW transmission line to connect the project to the New England grid, with Maine ratepayers expected to see $387 million in savings.
