BYD Q2 profit jumps 30% on record exports despite weak China sales
BYD reported its first quarterly profit increase in over a year, with Q2 net profit up 29.8% year-over-year to $1.22 billion, driven by a record surge in overseas sales. Exports, which grew 82.5% in the quarter, offset ongoing weakness in the Chinese domestic market amid a severe price war.
