BYD Overhauls Cheapest EV: Second-Gen Seagull Grows Bigger, Adds Power and LiDAR

BYD is preparing a second-generation Seagull, its roughly $10,000 entry-level EV, with a longer body, extended wheelbase, and a more powerful 95 kW motor. The upgraded model, dubbed the Great Seagull, is expected to go on sale in China by the end of 2026 with advanced driver-assist features.
