ROHM SiC MOSFETs Power BMW Neue Klasse Gen 6 Electric Powertrain
ROHM Semiconductor's SiC MOSFETs are being used in BMW's Neue Klasse Gen 6 electric powertrain, an 800V architecture with an inverter integrated into the motor housing. BMW estimates the new generation cuts energy losses by 40% and boosts range and charging speed by around 30% versus Gen 5.
