InoBat and Palmer Energy Technology sign agreement to strengthen European battery energy storage solutions

PETL and InoBat to collaborate on supply chain, Battery and Energy management systems and innovative solutions for Europe and beyond

  • InoBat and PETL will work together to supply energy storage solutions across Europe, leveraging on their presence in the UK and Ireland as well as in Europe and North America.
  • PETL and InoBat will have a reciprocal agreement for the supply chain to assure solution availability for customer without shortfalls. In 2026, PETL will supply InoBat with BESS units. In 2027, PETL has the option to take from InoBat´s Slovak manufacturing facility when it is commissioned.
  • PETL will supply its patented Brill Power battery management system (BMS) and energy management system (EMS) for integration into InoBat´s BESSMONT units.
  • PETL writes the Brill Power software in Oxford and stores all system data on its own servers in Europe.

Oxford and Bratislava, 15 September 2026. Palmer Energy Technology Ltd (PETL) and InoBat AS today signed a collaboration agreement to supply battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Europe. A BESS stores electricity and releases it when a customer or the grid needs it.

The agreement covers three areas. It sets out which markets each company will lead. It provides for the supply of BESS units between the two companies. It gives InoBat access to PETL’s battery management technology.

InoBat will build on its established European presence and planned expansion into North America, PETL will leverage its strong position in UK and Ireland. Both companies will address new markets together.

In 2026, PETL becomes a supplier for InoBat, while from 2027 PETL secures the option to take BESS supply from InoBat through its brand BESSMONT, manufactured in Slovakia. In this way both companies create reciprocal cross supply chain to assure availability with no shortfalls for customers.

PETL acquired Brill Power Ltd in 2025. Brill Power’s patented technology is a battery management system (BMS) and an energy management system (EMS). The BMS controls each cell in a battery and keeps the cells in balance. This extends the working life of the battery and increases its usable capacity. The EMS controls when the battery charges and discharges.

PETL’s team in Oxford writes the software. PETL stores all system data on its own servers in Europe. Customers get a European product with their data held in Europe.

In 2025 InoBat launched an energy solutions business to help close Europe’s shortage of grid-scale batteries. Through its BESSMONT platform it has delivered or contracted 875MWh of utility-scale battery energy storage capacity with a strong pipeline increasingly aimed at data center and AI power. InoBat is also developing next-generation sodium-ion technology with partners — a geopolitically resilient chemistry that complements lithium-ion.

Marián Boček, Co-founder and Chief Executive of InoBat, said:

InoBat strongly believes in partnerships, that enable growth and stability of the business.

”European customers need stable western based BESS supply chain with cyber security and high level quality of product and services. Partnership between PETL and InoBat builds a strong foundation to address energy challenges and prepare Europe for AI-driven future.”

Dr Andy Palmer CMG, CEO and Co-Founder of Palmer Energy Technology, said:

This agreement gives both companies access to more of the European market.

”PETL brings patented battery management technology and BESS units that are available now. InoBat brings a strong position in Europe and North America and new manufacturing capacity from 2027. Customers in Europe get a European product with their data stored in Europe.”
