Amprius Technologies has introduced its second-generation SiCore 500 Wh/kg lithium-ion cell, designed for long-endurance unmanned aviation such as high-altitude platform stations and fixed-wing drones. The cell can reportedly be produced on conventional lithium-ion manufacturing equipment, offering a path to volume production without specialized tooling.
